Robert Heiblim, Industry Leader, Passes

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our longtime friend and founding partner, Robert Heiblim.

One of the true visionaries of the consumer electronics industry, Robert was an accomplished executive, a trusted advisor and a cherished mentor whose influence can be felt today throughout the CE landscape and beyond.

A tireless proponent for innovation and economic opportunity for over 40 years, Robert served in numerous capacities over the past decade with the Consumer Technology Association. As Chairman of the Board of CTA's Small Business Council, he oversaw a mentoring program serving some 2500 member companies, many of them startups.

As Chairman of the CTA Audio Division, he helped lead the launch of high-resolution audio to the market, a fitting career bracket to his earlier work with CTA (then CEA) developing standards for the compact disc. Robert's passion for audio technology and helping the needful came into perfect sync through his CTA work on over-the-counter technologies for the hearing impaired, and as a Trustee of the CTA Foundation, a charity that brings technology to seniors, the disabled and the disadvantaged.

A fuller look at Robert's professional accomplishments are recounted in various  tributes from the media, industry publications and the CTA. What can't be captured in words are the qualities that his many friends and colleagues will remember vividly about the man himself, and what we at bluesalve partners will miss the most. Robert was widely beloved for his personal warmth, his towering intellect, his infectious humor and above all, his extreme generosity of spirit. It was an honor to work with him, but a greater honor to know him as a friend. We will all miss him deeply.

Robert is survived by his wife, Lisa, twin sons Derek and Trevor, and a daughter, Riley-Rose. By the request of his family, donations in his honor should be directed to the CTA Foundation, which can be made at the following link: https://lnkd.in/dTXBimSV.
